What is it?

A screenshot beautifier turns a plain screen capture into a polished image. The picture sits on a background and gets padding, rounded corners, a soft shadow and, if you like, a window or browser bar with an address. Screenshots in documentation, blog posts, on social media and on Product Hunt look clean and consistent. As a website mockup it shows your page on a laptop, monitor, tablet or phone, and as a responsive mockup on several devices at once.

How it works

Drop your screenshot into the editor, choose a file or paste it with Ctrl+V. Then pick a frame, padding, corners, shadow and a background: a color, a gradient or a Musterli background such as mesh, blurry or waves. Space rolls a new background and keeps your picture. Export as PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG, or copy the result straight to the clipboard. For a mockup, pick a laptop, monitor, tablet, phone or a responsive set under Device and type the address for the browser bar.

FAQ

Is my screenshot uploaded?
No. The picture is processed in your browser only and never sent to a server. Share links contain neither the picture nor the address in the bar. If you save the design, everything stays local in your browser.
Which files and sizes work?
PNG, JPG, WebP and SVG up to 5 MB. Raster pictures are scaled down to at most 3840 pixels on the long side and kept as PNG so text stays sharp. SVG is cleaned of scripts and external references first.
Which size fits Product Hunt, X or LinkedIn?
The size menu has ready formats: 1270 × 760 for Product Hunt, 1600 × 900 for X and slides, 1200 × 627 for LinkedIn and 1920 × 1200 for documentation. The screenshot adapts automatically.
What is in the SVG export?
Background, shadow and window bar are vectors; your screenshot is embedded as an image (data URI). The file needs nothing else but is about as large as your picture.
How do I make a responsive mockup of my website?
Choose “Responsive set” under Device. One screenshot is enough: every device shows it, cropped to its screen from the top. You can add separate screenshots for tablet and phone. With the live view your browser loads the website right into the devices, and “Take this view” turns it into pictures. Some websites do not allow embedding; then upload a screenshot.
